Faculty of Science
The College of Science at the University of Jeddah, established in 2014, is considered one of the leading colleges in education and scientific research. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs aimed at preparing qualified graduates for the labor market, while promoting innovation, research partnerships, and quality standards in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
College Objectives:
* Achieve high standards of teaching and learning and continuously develop academic programs in alignment with quality standards, national priorities, and labor market needs.
* Enhance students’ capabilities and support gifted, creative, and high-achieving students, encouraging them to participate and excel at the local and international levels.

The award was won for a research concept involving the development of a genetically engineered E. coli system to produce high-purity hyaluronic acid with a controlled molecular weight, thereby supporting future medical and biomedical applications. This achievement reflects the excellence of the college’s female students in applying their learning outcomes to scientific research, innovation, and practical implementation.
The College of Science is proud that students from the Department of Biological Sciences secured first place in a competition organized by the Institute of Genomic Medicine and Genetic Sciences at King Abdulaziz University.
Dr. Khadijah Al-Zaidi from the Department of Chemistry won fourth place in the Best Scientific Conference category at the 4th Kuwait International Competition for Supporting the Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence, and Technology Ecosystem.
